AccuTech process weighers may be used to accurately blend white bread flour and bran to produce brown bread meal.

Blending may be achieved from product bins, or directly from the mill output of one product if required.

A typical installation would blend white bread flour directly from the mill with bran from a storage hopper.

AccuTech process weighers are available in size from 30 to 1000 litres.

Where AccuTech scales with AT-4 controllers are used the flour scale uses a standard controller and is configured for a fixed tip size. The bran scale uses a blending enabled AT-4 controller. This unit has an input signal to select either normal on-stream operation or blending.

The flour scale tip size and required blend ration are entered into the bran scale controller. The discharge signal from the flour scale is monitored to determine when the bran scale should discharge. Should the bran scale not be ready to discharge then an alarm is generated.
